This was my third trip to the magnificent Kimberley Region in WA. We spent a five days out in the remote waters off Walcott Inlet with the Great Escape Charter company. Either side of that, we had a few days around Broome to explore the surroundings.
My best opportunities this time were aerial. Helicopter shots over Montgomery Reef and other parts of the Kimberley were as astounding as ever. I also managed to catch a nice sunset on Cable Beach for our final night. Steep Island (the shore of which is only accessible at low tide!) proved excellent for an overhead drone shot showcasing the red rocks, and a quick astro image with the Milky Way over the cliffs.
